Where is it?
And what’s the deal on the wing man BBQ and the place next door? Never realized they changed hands. |

I thought the food and overall service was medium at best. I’ll try it again though.

Well, from my house, I can be at Dickey's in 14 minutes, or I can go to Opie's in 19 minutes. I'll take Opie's every time unless I'm in MF or need to go there.

Small buns, which they totally soak in liquid butter/margarine. Buns ended up pretty greasy. Meat was good -- had both pulled pork and brisket. Neither had much of a BBQ flavor -- no clue it was cooked on a pit. Did not see that they did not put anything on the sandwiches and was not pointed to pickles, onions, sauce, etc. Got the sandwiches to go and was just handed the sack without comment and I guess had a brain-fart and did not think to ask.
The several people who prepped and bagged the sandwiches were less than enthusiastic. The young lady at checkout was polite, but not what I would expect from any business much less a new one. I like Opie's. I don't like Wingman. I LOVE Holy Smokes -- it's the best BBQ around and they're local people who are cordial. |

Is sandwiches all they have?
I too like Holy Smokes except for the ribs. Don't like them at all. The folks are great! Apparently Peete is gone and Wingman bought out the Cafeteria as well as the BBQ place and the Carwash. If the food is as good as the Oilchange folks I'm in. |

Where IS Dickey's? My favorite is Holy Smokes but they are closed sometimes when I ride by. I"m willing to try Dickey's. Opie's and Cooper's are just too far.

Has no-one else even tried Dickey's? Curious to see if it is improving. Did not care for my initial try at brisket and pulled pork sandwiches.

I had a Dickey's sliced brisket sandwich to go. Asked for the sauce on the side cause I don't like most sauces. First couple of bites without sauce. No flavor whatsoever...$7.+. Small bun, small meat.
Tried the sauce and it was excellent. They sell it by the bottle. I will go back for a bottle of sauce only. ![]() Last edited by Belle; 04-15-2018 at 10:35 AM. |

Thanks, I finally saw the Dickie's sign today. I'll have to try it just to taste the "sides." If a bbq place has good "sides," then I"m in. Can't much beat Holy Smokes.
