Smile Free nra basic pistol & shooting course

As a community service, I will be offering free NRA Certified Basic Pistol Safety & Shooting Courses in February (dates, places, and times to be determined). These are one day courses. You will learn the basics of gun safety and handling, current laws, and actual shooting on a firing range. This course can prepare you for the Concealed Handgun License course also offered locally by another certified instructor. Handguns will be provided by the instructor, so you need not and should not bring your own handgun. There will be a small charge for the NRA materials, classroom fees (if any) and possibly a small range fee. These fees should not exceed $15. You will need to bring a notebook, pencils, and a sack lunch.
Class sizes will be limited to first come-first enrollment basis. Subsequent classes will be filled in the same order received.
More details will follow in early February.

Good for you, Patriot. Great idea. Do you or can you do private lessons? My daughter needs to get comfortable with her pistol. I prefer revolvers and am only proficient with them.

Yes, I could do a private free lesson, but I want to get a full group class done first. I have revolvers she could use, Smith & Wesson, and couple of Rugers. I'll let you know when I could do it.

Yes, Kingchip. I could do a free private lesson and have several revolvers, but I want to complete the first group course first.

I'm not expecting free for a private lesson. I tried to get her into Reds for a few hours of instruction but they were booked. Now she is back at A&M for her final semester.

I applaud that you are offering classes to the public.
