Wow ! Where did everyone go?

What happen to this forum? It used to be so active, informative and fun... One could always count on getting answers to questions, products and/or providers.
This is sad because we don't have local TV news or real resources to get information.
We had a great food referral, ie. new restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc. Good events resource and I could go on and on.
We could get the pros and cons of nearly anything and now rarely is there a post of any kind.
I miss it, don't you ?

Have you sought any info or advice on anything that you did not get feedback on?

You can mark the decline of posters starting with removal of the politics forum. Politics is interesting and informative and draws people in. It is the lifeblood of Democracy, but is not allowed on this site.

Great potential but just too much censorship to ever get going. A successful forum needs to to have lively discussion without moderators shutting things down...just too many other options out there.

***and Ive been a member for over 10 years.

Very good point ( Freedom ), Exactly the reason I say nothing because too much censorship. Plus every time someone says anything there scolded by the grammar Nazi and moderators shut things down. But we are all still here monitoring. Only been a member for 6 years.

The politics section would still be here if folks did not treat this website as their vessel for launching personal attacks on other people. Also, if the same folks didn't act like they had some sort of constitutional right to post on a discussion board owned by a private person.

Everyone seems to have strong opinions but not everyone seems to be able to do so in a civil tone.

My Goodness! Is there no life before and after politics?
What about all the good food reviews, gardening, organizations, etc. We used to get good info about restaurants and other informative info that was helpful to many trying to make decisions and / or find products.

You're right. That info is supposed to come from a feed directly from the National Weather Service. I'll see what I can figure out.

I still check in, but do miss all the different topics that were discussed here.
It's sad but I understand why the moderators had to put their foot down.
Some people think that they don't have to show respect or watch their language while expressing their views online.
We could discuss political and religious topics if only members would use respect and consideration when responding.
I'm dreaming!
