Leo Manzano Welcome Home Celebration 9/30

Welcome home Olympic Silver Medalist Leo Manzano, who grew up in Granite Shoals and attended school in Marble Falls on Sunday, September 30. Festivities start at 2:30 p.m. in Marble Falls, at the MFHS gymnasium, with a tribute to Leo, awards and recognitions from public officials, a panel discussion with Leo, and autographs, where Leo will autograph his picture cards.

At 5:30, events will move to the Granite Shoals Municipal Complex, where there will be a short groundbreaking for the Leo Manzano Hike, Bike & Run Trails, presentations to Leo and his family, music by pianist Dan McMurrough and 2-time Grammy award winners Joel Guzman and Sara Fox. Tours of the Granite Shoals city hall will be available, and Leo will sign autographs of his picture cards. The day will be capped off by a musically synchronized fireworks show at the municipal complex. Visitors to Granite Shoals are asked to bring their own chairs and mosquito protection.
